  • BTE (Behind-The-Ear) Open Fitting and RIC (Receiver-In-Canal)  – These are very small behind-the-ear-style devices. Sound travels from the instrument through a small tube or wire to a tiny dome or speaker in the ear canal.

  • ITE (In-The-Ear) ITE devices are custom made and fill the concha (the bowl of the ear) and some portion of the ear canal. A broad range of circuit designs are available that allow these devices to be used in individuals with mild to severe hearing loss.

  • ITC (In-The-Canal) These devices are smaller than ITEs and fit only in the outer portion of the ear canal. ITCs are suitable for patient with a mild-to-moderate hearing loss.

  • CIC (Completely-In-The-Canal) & IIC (Invisible-In-Canal) Are the smallest devices available and are cosmetically desirable because they fit deep in the canal and take advantage of the ear’s natural resonance and shape, allowing for a more natural sound quality.

UNIQUE DEMO TRAIL EXPERIENCE
BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO A HEARING AID PURCHASE

We believe in providing quality Hearing Health Care. We don’t just sell hearing aids. If amplification is recommended it is because we have tested your hearing and found that amplification is the best course of medical care to improve your hearing and communication abilities. We strive to provide the best means to rehabilitate your hearing loss and make the transition from poor hearing to better hearing as easy as possible.

At Ear and Hearing Specialists of New Mexico we understand that the cost of hearing aids can be prohibitive to beginning the rehabilitative steps to better hearing. It is well known that the costs of hearing aids can be the third most expensive investment of a person’s life behind that of purchasing a home or a vehicle. We are sensitive to this fact and want our patients to make an informed and educated choice when selecting a hearing aid.

We offer a unique 2 week, low cost demo trial period with quality hearing instruments. If you do not realize an improvement in your hearing you may return the hearing aids for the low cost of the two appointments necessary to fit and download the hearing aids. In the state of New Mexico patients are allowed a 45 day money back guaranteed hearing aid trial. Most dispensaries will charge a large trial fee for that long trial period. This low risk hearing aid demo in your own home will give you the opportunity to try the hearing aids before taking on a large financial commitment. If you are satisfied with the performance of the hearing aids we can move on to completing the formal, state mandated trial period and a purchase of the hearing aids. At the end of the 45 day trial you still have the right to return the hearing aids for credit and a trial fee of $200.00 per aid is charged and a refund is issued.
